1909 Postal Card-Civil War Content
Item #: CIV-006070

This is a postal card from Murray Kentucky in 1909 where a S M Enoch has written to Mr. Vernon Blythe of Paducah Ky giving him the following information. "Your father was a good soldier under Kings command. Last I ever saw of him was at Knights Mill Mississippi, Pentetock Co 1862. I think he was sick there. He was a big hearted soldier in every respect. Faithful and Loyal to the cause in which he was fighting. Capt ?? Jetton of Harris Grove Ky, can possiby give you more information concerning the Blythe family than any one in this section." I purchased this with the two photos and someone has written in a different hand the following "? Koger Private Nathan B Forest USC POW". Frankly, I believe this was written by a previous seller to tie it in to two photos of another vet by the name of Koger.
