This is a book about a famous roving preacher whose travels have been memorialised by scores of postcards over the years. Complete with the photographic images throughout the book.  This book is scarce and I'm pricing much lower than the few available on line.  This is a discarded library book which is missing the dust cover and it has several markings from its time in the library.  The proceeds of this sale will be donated to the Macon Georgia Friends of the library.  Note:  The scan does not show the true color which is black.

Minor wear to the tips.  The stains in the sky area were probably cancel marks but are smudged like someone through they could erase it.  

Great contact on this card though it has some damage. Large corner creases on the top right hand corner and smaller creases on the other corners. Cancel is from Westlake Ga.  

This is a real photo postcard which was never mailed.  The card looks pretty good to the eye despite the vertical crease that runs through the card.  There is a lighter vertical bend going through the other side.  There is also a corner crease on the top right hand corner.  You can read the sign that says Macon Thornton Real Estate, Rents and Collections.  There are two black men conversing.

Before you get all mad, I paid $125 for it.  This is an advertising card which has an advertisement on the back.  I can't quite make out the cancel date but there is a flag cancel.  "Adler-Rochester Clothes fits better than any other ready-to-wear clothes.  We can prove it if you will give us the chance R S Thorpe & Sons, agents Florsheim Shoes.   Sent to Mr F P Bakersville (maybe)  Tip wear and corner crease.  Cancel smudge at top.

This card was mailed but I can't read the cancel, which reads Macon and Wheeler Branch.  It is in the mid 1900's though.  Some creasing which is normal for this kind of card and a cancel on the front.  It shows Third Street Looking East. Signs read Kress and Rhodes and a lively horse pulling a carriage.

This card was never mailed but on the back they are advertising Snow's Laundry and Dry Cleaning Co.  Rough edge and other minor wear.  I'm thinking that the rough edge might be from being a double card.

This card has an undivided back and shows two scenes in Macon Ga.  Georgia Alabama Business College on left and Home of professor E L Martin who was president of this company.  Note the ink stains on the left side.

Clean card which was not mailed, though it has a message on back in ink dating it at 1954.  This motel was located 2 miles South of city limits on Eastside Highway, A bypass of US 41 Macon Georgia.

Two cards in this lot, one of Terminal Station and the other the New Union Station. One is cancelled in 1923 and other I couldn't read but from the same time period.  Some corner wear and a thumb tack hole through the top of one.
