Nice item from a famous Nashville druggist. Front cover is fairly clean, back cover has a stain on top left hand edge. Advertises products on the inside cover but the interior is a drawing pad for children. Illustrations with tracing paper and blank page. Unused.

This neat paper item takes me back to the days when milk deliveries were a daily occurrence. Our refrigerator was near the back door and our milkman would let himself in and place the milk directly in the refrigerator. Those days are certainly gone. This item would be placed in the neck of the unused bottle showing how much milk to leave if you wanted something extra to the regular order. Considerable wear as can be seen in the scan.

Measures 16 and a half by 10 and a half. Complete. Wear to the cardboard mount including separations at corners, repaired with archival, acid free tape. This was a give away by the Nashville Banner newspaper.

Scarce letterhead from a town which existed from 1857 to 1928. The town was named after James T Cox whose home also housed the post office. When the post office closed in 1928, the town gradually disappeared. E S Byrd was a dealer in general merchandise with peanuts being a specialty. Shipping point at New Whitehead Landing.

Measures 2 3/4 by 2 inches. Good condition. This was a part of Murad Cigarette College Series. Tobacco.

Metal match safe with a celluloid insert advertising Hollins Sons & Company, Wholesale Cash Shoe House, 326 Public Square Nashville Tennessee. Inside is a Basic Mileage Ration ID so must be wartime. Light rusting on front and interior but back has a lot of the silver finish worn off. See scan to view the condition of the celluloid. No splits though.

Two illustrated letterheads plus an advertising cover in this lot. Envelope is rough and note acidic area at top right hand edge where a new clipping was attached. Three offices for this company. One is Nashville, and others in Memphis and Little Rock. Dated 1921.

Great photo of the Southern Champions in 1926 from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville Tennessee. Artist is Thuss. Seven games, in which none of their opponents scored a point. One game the score was 101 to 0. Talk about running up the score. Here are some condition problems which needs to be mentioned. (photo measures 13 by 11 inches) One large corner crease at botttom right hand corner, small crease which actually separated at the bottom left hand corner. This has been repaired with a heavy white tape which may be archival, I can't tell. Repaired tear with the same tape at left hand edge. Tear extends into the edge of the nearest oval picture. Small corner crease at top left hand side and small tear at upper edge. Actually the most distracting thing is the light sprinkling of red ink or stain along the Montgomery Bell Academy title at the top. Other minor creasing along some of the edges. W H Kirkpatrick was the Coach of what may have been the greatest team in MBA's history.

Included in this lot is a brass Old Hickory Service pin issued by Dupont. Also a token for the May Hosiery Mills, "good for five cents in trade". Better condition that is shown in the scan due to some slight tarnishment. Pin is still attached at the top on the back of the Dupont pin but holder at bottom is missing. Heavy patina on the brass pin.

This lot includes three receipts/checks to the Bank of White House, dated 1926, one to the Cheatham County Bank in Ashland City Tennessee 1916, two checks from the Bank of Savannah, 1896, and an envelope from the Bank of Savannah.

Small, attractive card advertising Richmond Straight Cut No 1 Cigarettes. Ink number 31 written on card. Attractive color litho scenes from Tennessee.

Nice color litho of an early candy company in Nashville. Measures six by five inches. Edge and corner wear. Nothing on the back. It could be this was an insert in a candy container since the paper stock is different from a regular trade card.

This noise maker must have driven a few parents crazy. This jeweler was located in the Arcade. On the back it indicates that it was made for the Tennessee Watchmakers and Jewelers Association's Annual Convention in 1939.

This nice color litho card measures 5+by 4 inches. Very minor wear. On the back is advertisement for Philips Condition Powders for Cow, Hogs and Poultry. For sale by Berry & Demoville in Nashville

Central High School was the first public high school in Nashville Tennessee. It was begun in 1917 but moved from school building to school building until 1921 when it finally moved to Rains Avenue. Some of Nashville's mot famous citizens attended this school which had a relatively short but glorious history. This possibly was the first annual of Central High since it is dated 1922. Called the Megaphone, the annual is in poor condition as can be seen in the scan. The back cover is missing with foxing, stains, and some interior tears.

Nice calendar and the original mailing envelope, though not mailed. This is from Goff's Drug Store in Monterey Tennessee. Complete calendar and on the back is a full graphic advertisement for Tums. Calendar measures 8 and a half by 3 and a half inches.

This photo was taken in front of the Republic Wall Paper and Paint Company in Nashville Tennessee. A couple of two large creases in the photo with measures 6 by 4 inches.

This started out as a Memphis Company but it has been written over. I think it is probably Dechard. Pictured are Canova Coffee and Wigwam Coffee Cans. I assume this letterhead has been cut down but don't know.

Neat little box which contained Double Grip Garters produced by Washington Manufacturing Company. Box is empty and shows some wear.

Fold across this needle case which brings back the days for me when our milk man would come in the back door and put the milk in our refrigerator. Hard to imagine today.

Beautiful complete sheet by Willa Waid Newman. This song was adopted by the 69th General Assembly as the official state song of Tennessee. A great gift when framed.
