Two paper items from Gore's 1988 Presidential run.

Nice ticket which measures 5 and a half by three and a half inches for the 1987 Annual Iowa Democratic Party-Jefferson/Jackson Day Dinner. Honoree was Al Gore Jr.

This paper item is for a campaign event in Washington D C.

A friend of mine bought this cover which was issued by the post office in Carthage Tennessee on the day of Gore's announcement that he was running for President.  This was his first campaign which began on June 29, 1987.  Gore signed the cover.

This paper emphasizes Gore's Education platform. 11 by 8 and a half inches.  Some acidic toning at the top edge, otherwise in good condition.

Three buttons in this lot. Good condition.

Two buttons is this lot, one measures two and a half inches and the other one and 3/4 inches.  The smaller button is a well made button and is fairly scarce and they soon switched to larger buttons. 

Two and a quarter inch cello in good condition. This button came out of West Tennessee.

Two and a half inch celluloid button in good condition.  I believe this was the first vendor button for Gore, made by Political Americana. The little speck in the scan is where there was a pooch from the pin which caused the button not to lay flat in the scanner.

This is a scarce button as the campaign was not satisfied with the way they turned out.  This three inch button is one of the better examples made even though it has a small area of white coming through to the left of the word Gore.

This two and a quarter inch button was made for the Iowa primary in 1988.

I hope my memory serves me right on  this one but I believe that this was issued for Gore's 88 campaign.  Very few buttons were made from these stickers.  I believe the NEA made some for all the candidates.  I have one more sheet available for sale.

I doubt that Gore approved this button but it has proven to be a popular vendor button.  One and 3/4 of an inch.  Good 

Two and a half inch button which was made for the Gore Volunteers who accompanied Gore on selected campaigns. They traveled by bus and proudly wore these buttons.

Scarce two and a half inch button from Gore's first Presidential run. Some dark areas but it's the metal showing through the paper. This was made by a UAW worker in Nashville to distributeto the public.

This poster measures 17 by 11- inch poster which announces a rally in Nashville to send off Gore to the VP debate. Mary Chapin Carpenter was part of the entertainment.

Unusual button made by the editor of the Angus News, a publication for Black Angus bull breeders. Hart was his daughter's name and he made this button for his subscribers Two and a quarter inch celludoid with some which appear to be in the printing. Made for Gore's 88 campaign. The only time I have seen this button offered in auction it was incorrectly labeled a Gary Hart for Gore button.

This is an 8 by 10 photograph taken by a friend of mine at Al Gore Jr.'s Announcement day in Carthage Tennessee. Present on the stage is Tipper, Senator Sasser, and Governor Ned McWherter.

This was a scarce item in Carthage the day of Gore's announcement for the Presidential campaign and as I recall quite needed in the heat of that day.

This campaign item was from Al Gore's first run for President. Says Cathage Tennessee on the reverse of the cup. Good condition despite what the scan shows, which was caused by the reflection from the scan.
