This is a huge paper back with 1435 pages.  I have used this quite a bit in my research into the Civil War.  Some wear caused by heavy use.

There are 31 pages in this very useful reference book which covers small arms, uniforms, equpment, music, flags and artillery. I usesd this extensivily when I was trying to identify images as to whether they were union or confederate.

Soft bound, 438 pages, The Official Red Book, A Guide Book of Civil War Tokens by Q David Bowers, 2014 publication.  This is the most comprehensive book on Civil War Tokens.  I wish I had had this book when I had a small collection.

This is one of three books printed as a set in 1991 by Time-Life.   I bought this to sell as I wouldn't part with my copy.  It is a reference work that I use all the time.  It is a large book with 312 pages including color plates.  It covers small arms, uniforms, music, equipment, flags, and artillery.

This a 270 page, soft bound book.  Contains regimental histories etc. for both the union and confederate armies.  Excellent reference for regimental and personal histories.  Printed in 1967.

This is a broken set published by Broadfoot.  There are 48 volumes which the dealer swore up and down was a complete set.  He did tell me that it was missing the 3 volume index.  Now I learn that it is supposed to be a 52 volume set plus three index volumes.  For this reason I am slashing the price well below what I paid for them. They are in great condition though volume II has a slash in the spine.  The volumes are a reproduction of the Southern Historical Papers that were published.  The Southern Historical Society was a public organization founded by Confederate Major General Dabney H. Maury in 1869 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It documented Southern military and civilian viewpoints largely related to the American Civil War. These books contain information that might not easily be found in other books.  I would pick one up over the years and also always found articles of interest to me.  Excessive postage paid will be refunded.   

June E Tuck compiled this book which sold out sometime ago and is not available on line at the time of this listing.  405 pages.  Published in 1993 with only 500 copies made. Nice condition

This is a 22 page booklet which lists veterans who served in Tennessee units and who were living in Texas in 1890. "With rare exceptions these were en who served in the Union. Written by Byron Sistler. in 1978.

Heavily worn first edition book which I have used it a million times.  Must for the serious Civil War Collector.

This is a 72 page soft bound booklet showing the Confederate Flags from the various Georgia Regiments.  The booklet has sustained some water damage on the front and back cover.  The title page also shows damage to a lesser degree..  The rest of the booklet is fine. Pictorial Histories Publishing 1993 fourth printing. Soft bound with numerous illustrations of instruments and images of some regimental bands.  Great reference to identify civil war instruments. 116 pages. Old price sticker on the front cover.  I removed part of it but will leave the rest to you.

There are two small softbound booklets by George and Melvin Fuld on Patriotic Civil War Tokens and A Guide to Civil War Store Card Tokens.  Good condition other than a nip in the upper right hand corner.  Some illustrations and a rarity guide

This is a first edition of a book which focuses on the prints made for the Confederate cause.  Most of the illustrations are of Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis. The dust cover is in pretty rough condition, the upper spine is quite worn.

This is a true first edition printed by Beta Phi Mu in 1964. Some mottling of the spine and cover but otherwise clean. The one hundred books listed are considered to be the most important books covering the Confederate army.  Note the spots on the spine in the third scan. 

This 27 page booklet was reprinted from the Numismatist in 1959.  It contains a listing of Sutler tokens issued to soldiers  Illustrations of some of the scrip and tokens that were used to buy food and other goods. These must have been very rare as I have seen few examples. Some light staining.

This large volume (180 pages) was printed in 1990 and the compilers were Bruce Bazelon and William McGuinn. It is a comprehensive listing  of the makers and suppliers of military goods in American during 1785 to 1915.  It includes the Confederate States.  This is a very useful reference.  It is a heavy hard bound book and will be sent book rate with excessive postage being refunded.

This is a biographical register of the staff officers in the Army of Northern Virginia.  Published in 2003 by the University of North Carolina Press. 406 pages.  Hard back in excellent condition.

86 pages in this soft bound booklet which is the only reference I know that has gathered information on all the photographers who operated during the Civil War.  Not complete I'm sure but I have found it very helpful.  Compiled by George F Whitman.  Crease on corner of cover.

This is a first edition of the book which is out of print.  This is a must have reference work for the collector of confederate imprints.  Published by Jenkins in Austin Texas. 991 pages.  Gently used book.  Will be mailed by media mail for a savings as it is a very large book.  Excessive postage paid will be refunded since I'm guessing as to the cost. 

This is Tom Broadfoot last book which is a must for any Civil War book collector.  Although the actual current values may be less at the time of this listing, it is an invaluable reference.  Some wear, but generally good.  Will be sent by media mail for a savings and any excessive postage paid will be refunded. 

This is a great book on a difficult to master sub category of Confederate philately.  The authors are two experts on this subject, John L Kimbrough and Conrad Rush.  There were 600 copies made and they have sold out and at the time of this listing, there are no available copies on the web. If you can find one cheaper than this book, buy it.  

This book was published in 1994 by the University of Arkansas Press.  As new.  This is a photographic history. Will be mailed book rate unless you request first class.  It's a very heavy book.

This book was published in 1982 by Broadfoot.  Assembled by Michael Mullins and Rowena Reed.  Important books on the Union Army.  Minor wear.

393 pages on this book that was published by Byron Sistler in 1955.  Inked name of previous owner and the price she paid on the front blank pages.  Minor wear on this reference book.

Ninety three page booklet put out by the Civil War Centennial Commission of Tennessee in 1963. Since this was published there is no telling how many of these monuments and memorials are gone and others are currently being threatened.  Tennessee was a state split in loyalties during the Civil War so there are a few monuments or memorials for the Tennessee Union soldiers as well.  Illustrations are available for the things that are listed. 

Hardback book, presumed to be a complete listing of soldiers or their widows who applied for a pension in the State of Tennessee.  It was previously owned by a genealogist and her name and price paid is written in the book.  Very little wear. 

First edition printed in 1965 in Austin Texas.  A copy of an article about the book which appeared in the Dallas Morning News was pasted in the interior of the back cover.  It has since come loose and the glue remnants remain. According to the article the book was not published for sale but 1000. copies were presented to school libraries etc. and this is one of those copies.  Hard bound.  Smeared place on the blank page, perhaps erased prices.

First edition printed in 1971 by the University of Missouri.  Gentle shelf wear.  No dust jacket.

First edition printed in 2004 by McFarland & sons. 274 pages including many illustrations of sheets. Hardback in excellent condition.  This book should be used with caution as the author lists many sheets that are not Confederate imprints and declares some sheets as extant when they are not. 

This is a useful reference as it is a giographical register of the field offers of the Army of Northern Virginia.  Published by Morningside Books in 1979. Very good condition.

Large hardback book full of illustration of Confederate arms. 304 pages.  Printed in 1978.  First edition as stated and signed by both authors, Richard Taylor Hill and William Edward Anthony.  Only defect I can spot is a small area on the top spine where the faux leather was worn off.

Second edition printed in 1964. Hardback.  Fifty eight pages. A listing of one hundred significant Confederate books.  No condition problems.

Out of print book in excellent condition written by George B Tremmel in 2003.  Complete reference of Confederate fake currency.  Selling much less that others on the web at the time of the listing.

These two soft bound volumes were published by the Virginia State Library in Richmond in 1957.  Light wear 

This book was printed in 1996 by the Kennesaw Press. Authors are Jack W Melton & Lawrence E Pawl.  Jack has presented this copy to someone.  Hard back book with 96 pages of illustrations and comment.  Clean interior but some wear to the boards.  The spots on the front cover is where I had to remove a large price sticker.
