Stereo Card-University of Nashville Building-Rare
Item #: NEW-0015624

This is a very rare card showing the Literary Department of the University of Nashville.  It later housed the Western Military Institute, then a Federal Prison during the Civil War.  Sam Davis was housed in this building when it was a military institute. Rough top edge at the right hand side and corner, repaired with acid free linen tape on the back.

Item #: NEW-0010614

The first card shows Dirigible R-34 at Mineola, made by Keystone Company.  The second shows a Zeppelin in action over a German town-Lower valley of the Rhine.  It was a German who developed the dirigibles which made Germany first in their development for many years and during world war I they inspired fear and panic in England and France.  However, their slow speed and hugeness made them targets for the allies and many where shot down. They continued to be used after the war but their use ended with the crash of the Hindenburg.

25 Stereo Cards-- American Military Ships
Item #: NEW-006889

25 Stereo Cards which were made from the original negatives and hand colored. All the cards in this lot are of ships. Since the Maine is one of the ships I'm assuming that these are from the Spanish American War era as well as World War I. The original box is included though the two end flaps are gone. All are in nice condition. Not all the cards can be seen in the scans. These are the cards shown in the scan: 1. U.S.S Maine, 2. U S Superdreadnaught Florida, 3. U.S.S Missouri Battleship, 4. U.S.S Wisconsin Battleship, 5. U.S.S Hampshire Battleship, 6. U S Superdreadnaught Texas, 7. U S S Kansas Battleship, 8. U S Solace Hospital hospital Ship, 9. Zeppelins in action, One of the cards which is not of a ship which can be seen in the scan is not included in the lot as it belonged in another grouping.  There are 25 cards of ships, however.
