Not mailed but wording at top indicates that it was a souvenir of the Seventy-Seventh General Assembly, C P Church Dickson Tennessee, May 16-25, l907.

Shows three old scenes from Dickson Tennessee, one "old Log House," "Present Church Building on Birthplace Site," and the New Memorial Church, at Dickson, 6 miles from "Birthplace."

Light water stain just above the lower right hand corner and tip wear.  Nice thick stock card.

Condition problems with this card.  First the left edge indicates that it was at one time probably a double card.  Heavy creasing on the right hand upper corner.  Indentations from a heavy cancel on the back.  Vertical crease all the way down the mid-section, light crease that I missed spotting.  Light creased area at top left hand area and corner and edge wear.

Nice old residential view with a horse and buggy coming up the street. Car is marred by cancel marks on the front, small white areas where the image has worn off and creasing and wear to upper right hand corner. Back side is filthy. Please study the scan.

This is a postcard shwoing William Jennings Bryan "Special olunsel for the prosecutor in the Scopes Trial' The famous trial was held in Dayton Tennessee and was a test of the legality of teaching evolution in the school system in Tennessee. It was of course a landmark case. No condition problems on the card. I don't know the age of the card. It was obviously published some years after the trial from original photographs. The card has a slick surface but am sure it is not modern. Perhaps it was made to commenorate some anniversary of the trial. The back of the card reads, "Famous Scopes Trial-Dayton, Tennessee 1925. Publisher was Cline Advertising Chattanooga Tennessee. There is also a logo for Color King.

The postcard features George W Rappelyea, "the young metallurgist with the Dayton Coal and Iron Company, was a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, and it was a Rappelyea's urging that plans were made to test the constitutionality of the new 1925 Tennessee Anti-Evoluation Law." Unused card from a date unknown but mild foxing on the back so it's not modern. The Robinson drug store gained fame during the Scopes trial in Dayton where Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryan faced off in the trial sometimes known as the "Monkey Trial", a test of the constitutionality of a Tennessee law prohibiting the teaching of evolution in the schools. Card reads "The table at which the trial actually started in shown in front of the curved-top display case." Back of the card reads "Famous Scopes Trial-Dayton, Tennessee, 1925." Published by Cline Advertising in Chattanooga.

Interesting card which photo was taken in 1943. Several condition problems, two of which can be seen clearly in the scan. There is a corner crease on the top left hand corner. Spot next to Tenn pooches out. There is a "free" frank on the reverse as was mailed by a soldier in Nashville. "leaving camp in a few days."

Tiny edge cut just over the word Bristol. Tiny corner crease on bottom left hand side and minor wear to other corners.

Not cancelled but the advertising message on the back dates this very rare view to 1914. Great condition. Shows the residence of Mr E. L. Doak Mt. Juliet Tennessee. This card was send from the Greenwood Stock and Poultry Farm which is a testimonial for a furnace.

This is my favorite postcard of Lawrenceburg. Some condition problems which don't take much from this great scene and most are only visable when rotating under a light. Small creasing at upper left hand corner, large light crease at bottom left corner which some flacking off of the image. Slight wear to other corners. including a tip crease at upper right. This undivided back is cancelled from Henning Tennessee. Heavy toning at the corners from being in an album and of course writing on the front side as required by postal regulations. Wear to one corner.
