Soft bound booklet written by Rosalie Carter about her relative Captain Tod Carter of the Confederate States Army. Signed and numbered 47 of 500 numbered copies. Published in 1978 privately. Soft Bound and 50 pages with illustrations. Carter was one of the unfortunate casualties of the Battle of Franklin. He died within 80 yards of his home, the historic Carter House in Franklin Tennessee. Light crease at top right hand corner.

Soft bound book by Potomac Press dated 1958. I would describe it to be a reading copy since it is dingy, smells musty, and has a tear at the spine and creases on the front cover.Inked owner's name on inside cover.

Rubber stamp number on the back of the title page. Wear to the corners of the boards and quite a bit of wear to the top and bottom of the spine. Gold gilt is fresh looking on the spine.

This is the first edition printed by Houghton Mifflin Company with illustration of Stonewall by N C Wyeth. Nice pictorial cover but no dust cover.Binding a little loose with partial separations on the fly leaves. Wear to the upper and bottom portion of the spine and along the edges and tips. Scuff like black mark on the back cover. Selling as a reading copy even though it's not that bad.

This book was printed in 1959 in Jackson Tennessee based on the diary of Moore and edited by James Silver. Bumped spine and only slight wear to the dust cover.

This is the 1960 reprint in the Civil War Centennial Series. Clean copy with bumped spine and some tears and wear to the dust cover.

1963 McCowat-Mercer reprint. This book has long been considered one of the best personal narratives of a Confederate Officer. Slightly bumped spine. Dust cover with some chipping to the top and bottom.

First edition on this rare and desirable book. Written by William C. Oates, a Neale printing in 1905. I have never seen this book in good condition but this book has extensive problems. Spine looks awful and almost separated from the book. Front board is fairly decent looking and could be used in a re-backing. Someone put red cloth tape on the corners but these could be replaced with some nice leather mending. Back cover dingy, stained and with several ink spots. Loose binding and partially detached in the front. Scotch tape mending of title page with staining. Two pages from the table of contents are missing along with the illustration of Lincoln. Rest of the pages in the Table of Contents are torn and clumsily repaired. Fly pages missing. Need I go on? This books lists for $850 and I'm selling for what I paid for it.

First Edition of this book written by John Esten Cooke and edited by Richard Harwell Printed in 1954. This has a dust cover but the cover had edge wear and tears and chipping on the spine. Bumps on the hard cover. Small dots on the edge of the board which appears to be a defect in the cover as made.  Heavily crease edge wear to the front board and shelf wear to the boards.  There is a tipped in notation that the book has been sent for review by the University of Virginia Press.

This is a recent reprint by Scribners but can't find a date. Not much wear on this one.  Request book rate for a savings. . Excessive postage paid will be refunded.

1937 is the printing date by the Wistar Institute. Dust Cover is present with chipping along the spine. The spine is bleached out. Tightly bound.

This book was limited to 1,000 copies. This is #173 and signed by the author, son of the subject. 1932 Printing-Diez Printing-Ink signature of owner. Appears to be rather tightly bound but the paper has worn off on the front interior page at the spine. Book tape should fix this. Someone read this book while eating so stains on some pages. Attempts made to clean the spine by someone left some steaks. Mottling to some degree on the covers. Included is an advertising flyer for this book and others by the press. Signed-1st Edition
