Nice interior shot of President James Knox Polk Memorial Room.  I believe this is a fairly scarce postcard which is why I'm offering it,despite the fact that it appears to have been trimmed and the back is quite damaged. Back appears to have been ripped out of an album and there is glue residue..

This card was never mailed and it has an undivided back, indicating that it is from the early 1900's.  At the bottom of the card it reads Vanderbilt Eleven 1906.  Sharing the spot light in the middle is the famous Coach McGugin and Capt. Dan Blake.  Left side of the football members shown are Bob Blake, McLain, Costen,Prichard and Stone.  Right side shows Craig, V Blake, Manier, Noel, and Chorn. There is overall light staining on the ends but no other damage. 

Nice clean card displaying a black man as an ape and another as a speaker.  Reads "The Darwinian Theory".  Bell Jewelers are still operating in Murfreesboro Tennessee.  Measures 4 and a half by 2 and a half inches. Not Nashville, but close.

Two nice cards showing some of the grounds on the Hermitage.  One is also advertising "Fit for a King" "Roasted and Blended daily by H. G. Hill Grocer and Baking Co."  Nashville Tennessee.

I sure don't remember this at Shelby Park.  In the 1984, the lodge was disassembled and moved to the Boxwell Reservation in Gallatin for a Boy Scout troop to use. Not mailed with minor tip wear. Scarce card

Some soft creases on this card, visible only when rotated.  The William Gerst Brewing Company in Nashville Tennessee is presented in this rare view. Divided back and was not mailed.  This card has gone over $2,000 on eBay at least twice that I know of.  

This is my favorite postcard which shows this historic, down town church in Nashville.  Some tip wear and was not mailed.

This is an early, undivided back postcard which was never mailed.  Advertising postcard for Dr Brown's Magic Liniment. Age toning over the entire card and clipped right hand bottom corner.

These two postcards were taken at the Violet Studio in the Arcade.  It was a popular place to act silly and have a souvenir.  Condition problems on both cards and dingy backs.  None were mailed but one identifies Jessio Jones and his friend. "

This interesting advertising card shows the Little Sisters of the Poor, Home for the Aged.  When I knew about this home, it was a cloistered home for nuns.  Perhaps they served older people.  The Nashville Hardwood Flooring Co, "Acorn Brand Beech Flooring is the advertising message.  This is a Knopp card which was not mailed.  Corner tip wear.

Message on the back of this mailed card reads, "See the Old Soldiers".  The Confederate Veterans Home was on the grounds of the Hermitage during this period.  Magnifying glass indicates that there are women in the group scene as well.  Rough right hand edge and bottom corner, as well as other general wear.

Early postal card from Pilcher & Co, Proprietors of the Star Mills Company in Nashville.  Can't read the cancel date but the writing on the front indicates that it is early,  Condition problems as can be seen in the scan, including two spindle holes.
