Interesting card which has an undivided back and was not mailed  .  Someone has taken a pencil or something and has made a vertical line down the left hand side.  I did not notice it when I bought it.  It looks like locks hanging in the window.

This card was not mailed.  I bought it thinking it might be Nashville Tennessee card but it just doesn't feel right.  Obvious preparation for some kind of upcoming event. My best guess is Nashville Indiana

I'm not sure exactly where the bridge would have been, possibly Murfreesboro. but it came in a Tennessee paper lot.  Not mailed, minor wear 

Crease which shows only when rotated.  Not mailed but message on back "this is our house on 12 of July and the children out side."  Not sure what the celebration would have been but probably Bastille Day which was on the 14th.

This scene was taken in Flagstaff Arizona.  Small area over the A in Navajo where the finish has worn off.  Indians

This has got to be a rare item.  It measures 6 and 3/4 inches tall and 8 and 1/2 inches wide.  It is made of a sturdy cardboard, lined with felt.  The center piece is a Sunbonnet Twins postcard.  It and the front top and middle area is covered with celluloid or some other kind of protective film. The stand does not have the celluloid which explains why it is faded and worn in places.  I have used it to keep my most precious cards.  It would be an added bonus if you are a collector of the Sunbonnet Twins.  

I must have bought this as I thought it was my Nashville but something doesn't feel right-maybe Nashville Indiana.  Two small tack holes at top, not mailed but message on the back. 

I can't make out the title in white on the bottom but I image that this was a neighborhood outdoor eatery.  Corner crease on bottom left side.  I bought this as a Nashville Tennessee card as it was postmarked from Nashville but who knows?

This is a real photo postcard showing a re-enactment scene, "Artillery In Action".  These kind of drills were common after the Civil War and other Southern States participated in them.  Unmailed.

Unusual scene with this wagon pulled by dogs.  Some have decided to take a break.  It looks like the man may be legless. Spots are on the exterior.  Photographer was Patterson of Nashville Tennessee. One light corner crease.

They don't come any better than this.  Postmarked from Mammoth Springs , real photo postcard.  This was actually an event that happened.  Sometime ago, I found a newspaper report of this and though I can't find it again, I copied the account. " Killed by Posse in Bank-Three masked men entered the Citizens Bank at Mammoth Springs Arkansas and robbed the bank while two others stood guard outside.  The cashier was locked in the vault and the robbers took all the cash inside.  For 10 days bank officials have known that an attempt would be made to rob he bank.  In preparation the Sheriff had rounded up a posse and was hidden in the back room of the bank when the robbery occurred.  As the robbers were leaving, the officers opened fire on them with Winchester rifles.  One of the robbers who was instantly killed, had 22 bullets enter his body.  The other robbers were captured uninjured."

This card was never mailed but it is an undivided back, real photo postcard.  This historic landmark is still there but it is an early view.  The only condition problem is that it is bowed, and doesn't lie flat.  Will be mailed with light protection in an envelope.  Protected mailing with stiffeners will be more expensive but request it if you wish.

I believe this is from Indiana although the state is not on the cancel.  There is a similar looking dancing pavillion card in New York.  This card was mailed but the year is not on the cancel although it is an undivided back card.

This stately home was on 1006 19th Ave South in Nashville Tennessee.  According to records this home no longer exists.  C M Morford is listed as the owner of the home. Some corner wear.  The card was never mailed but there is a message on the back and remnants from being in an album.

There are condition problems on this interesting scene.  Never mailed but message on the back reads" grand daddy Goodletts Stable", addressed to Miss Lottie Goodlett in Nashville Tennessee.  I bought this from a Nashville album but after browsing on the web I think it is likely from Kentucky instead.  Just a hunch.  Please view the scan closely. Ink stain on right edge, wear to corners, and some punches in the card.  Back is dingy. Horses

This church is not identified but it has a photographer's mark from Bethel so am assuming this is from Bethel. Postmarked in Boston..  Minor tip wear.

I purchased this with other items form Iron City and was told that this was an old store in Iron City which is in Wayne and Lawrence  County. About 300 people live in Iron City.  It is in poor condition with creases and a tear was mended on the back with archival, acid free tape. Their is a large crack in the photo.  I have scanned some of the items in the store.

Great old scene from this small town in Wisconsin.  Whoever made the writing on the negative made a mistake and scratched out the area preceding Main St.  Dunbar may have been the photographer.  Minor wear but the heavy cancel indentation from the back detracts some.  This has got to be a rare one.
