This is a facsimile reproduction,  Limited Edition by Charles Elder, Nashville, Tn. Added to that is an historical sketch of Nashville as of 1854 by J G M Ramsey.  Signature of a previous owner on the fly page and a book plate of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.  pasted in on the back of the title page. 190 pages.  The sketches first appeared in a newspaper and then it was printed in book form. for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition in 1897.  Clean interior pages but the dust cover is worn.

Captain Tod Carter-CSA Army-Rare Booklet-Battle of Franklin

There are no other listings of this scarce book about Tod Carter, who died in the Battle of Franklin.  The book was written by Rosalie Carter, a grand niece, and was inscribed by her to a friend and was no 47 of 500 numbered copies, Dec. 6, 1972.   It is a soft bound booklet, measuring 11 by 8 and a half inches.  52 pages.  Light corner crease on top right side.  The Carter house in Franklin was in the middle of the Battle and served as a hospital for the wounded soldiers. It is still standing and a favorite tourist attraction.
