 Reproduction of the 1894 original edition, 48 pg. reference and index to the pictures laid in plus a 20 page supplemental to the index laid in. Other than an introduction by James Hobbler, the book consists of photographs of Nashville scenes from 1894 to 1901. This is the significant work on Tennessee bank notes.  The valuation, of course is out of date but it is still a must for the Tennessee bank note collector,  The author, Paul Gardner has made a lengthy signed inscription to a fellow collector. This book was published in 1983.  Clean interior but some wear to the dust cover, including a long tear near the spine.

This interesting advertising card shows the Little Sisters of the Poor, Home for the Aged.  When I knew about this home, it was a cloistered home for nuns.  Perhaps they served older people.  The Nashville Hardwood Flooring Co, "Acorn Brand Beech Flooring is the advertising message.  This is a Knopp card which was not mailed.  Corner tip wear.

Rare postcard from a series done by C H Wellington of the Tennessean.   Wear to corners, acidic staining on the top corners from being in an album and dingy appearance. It was not mailed but I believe it is period.  Ham Patterson feuded with Edward Carmack, who was killed by a Patterson defender.

William Gerst Brewing Co-Nashville Tenn Postcard

This is a super rare card which has at least twice, that I know over, hovered around $1000.00 on eBay.  This is only the second that I have ever had.   Never mailed with some creasing and corner wear.  Looks good to the eye-see scan.  This famous local beer won the Gold Medal at the Tennessee Centennial Exposition in 1897.
