No paypal on this item though payment plans can be arranged. This is a letter written by President Harry S Truman to his party whip, Percy Priest, from the White House, dated Sept 29.1950. This letter came from the estate of Percy Priest through his daughter. I found a similar brief letter on this same subject that sold for $6,000 but since I am not Christies I think my price is more than fair.
Here is the content: Dear Percy: I have just read your statement in the Record (Congressional) Page 15897-on MacArthur and his status. It is a very clear statement and I appreciate your having made it. Sincerely yours, Harry Truman. The letter is encapsulated and can be removed by cutting it off.
The firing of General Douglas MacArthur was due to him not following the orders of the President of the United States, a well known historic event.
