This small thin book was written by Thomas O Summers.  Printed by the Southern Methodist Publishing House in Nashville Tennessee. Contains short moral, christian stories.  Ink writing in the front and a tear on the fly page. The binding is a little loose in one area.  Some of the interior pages have stains. Proceeds are for the Macon Ga Friends of the Library.

This is a scarce little book which tells the story of young Sam Davis who was hung for his refusal to reveal Confederate plans. The book was written by Edythe Johns Rucker Whitley in 1947. Sponsored by the Sam Davis Memorial Association and the Sam Davis Home in Smyrna Tennessee. His story takes 63 pages  The rest of the book consists of photos, geneological material on the Davis family. Some of the pages on Davis have pencil markings which marked the interest of the reader at one time. Some wear to the boards and top and bottom of spine. The color in the scan is not true to the book, which is actually grayish. 

65 page, mimeographed private printing by Lula Fain Moran Major. This is a compilation of several articles published by the Williamson County Historial Society in 1975. It also includes "The Autograph Book of William E DeMoss.

This is a softbound book, 291 pages.  It is the full history of one the most prominent news story of the day, the day that then Senator Edward W Carmack was assassinated on the streets of Nashville by Robin J Cooper.

This is a soft bound book written by Mary Louise Lea Tidwell.  330 pages and printed in 1993.  It is the story of one of the most interesting Tennessee politician. He founded the Nashville Tennessean in 1907, was elected to the U S Senate at age 32 and led a bizarre attempt to capture the Kaiser during World War II.  Many stories in this book.

This is a Nashville girl who gained everlasting renown as a pinup girl. This is from  Wikipedia. Bettie Mae Page was an American model who gained a significant profile in the 1950s for her pin-up photos. Often referred to as the "Queen of Pinups", her jet-black hair, blue eyes, and trademark fringe have influenced artists for generations. Her later life was spent in obscurity. Good condition. 

This is a softbound book which everyone in Nashville is reading.  It is the story of the author's one man crusade to discover the true killer of a young girl in 1964.  It involves a former Mayor and other prominent citizens as well as an innocent man being framed.  Excessive postage will be refunded 

Soft bound book with 122 pages.  Published by the Union Station Trust Fund in 1977.  Nice history  of  this historic railroad through Nashville's history.  Small dingy area on the closed pages and a small spot on the cover.

This soft bound book is from the Images of America series.  Nashville.  James Hoobler is the author who was given access to the original photographs of father and son. 127 pages and notes I made in pencil on the front fly page.

This is a facsimile reproduction,  Limited Edition by Charles Elder, Nashville, Tn. Added to that is an historical sketch of Nashville as of 1854 by J G M Ramsey.  Signature of a previous owner on the fly page and a book plate of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.  pasted in on the back of the title page. 190 pages.  The sketches first appeared in a newspaper and then it was printed in book form. for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition in 1897.  Clean interior pages but the dust cover is worn.

This book was produced by George Rollie Adams and Ralph Jerry Christian in 1988.  It covers the founding of Nashville up to and including the formation of the Metropolitan government.  251 pages full of illustrations. Please see the scan of the dust cover where some critter got a hold of it.  There is a lesser damaged area on the handsome boards.

The is a worn hard back book written by F Garvin Davenport and published by The University of North Carolina Press in 1941. First Edition but no dust cover.  Some of the subjects are Educational Opportunities, Nashville Physicians and Medical Science, Religious Leaders-and the Theater.  232 pages, which are clean.  The boards are stained.

This book was written by Bobby L Lovett.  It was published in 1999. This is a soft bound book with 314 pages.  Minor wear.

This is a copy of Ronald Allen's book which was published in 1979.  It is quite rare and difficult to find as it was published in 125 copies. Also included is a Supplement by Allen updating the values from his original book with some corrections and additions.  This was printed in 1996.

Nice soft bound book with the complete title being Davy Crockett's Almanack's of Wild Sports in the West, and Life in the Backwoods.  This reprint was made in 1986 and was published by the Pioneer Press in Union City Tennessee.  143 pages.  The wonderful wood cuts were also reproduced.  This Almanack was received by the public with enthusiasm and it is unknown if Davy Crockett actually wrote it and even unknown if any were printed in Nashville. 

Thin, hard back volume printed in 1964 by the Tennessee Historical Society. It reproduces Donelson's Journal, Cumberland Compact, and Minutes of Cumberland Court.  Inked signature of a previous owner in two places, including the title page. Faint white areas on front cover and on back.  

Two large tears in the dust cover as can be seen in the scan.  The Life and Times of Septima Sexta Middleton Rutledge American Cultural Pioneer.  She and her husband and their five children left Charleston to establish a country seat in Franklin County Tennessee. They also had a majestic home in Nashville where they entertained Rachel and Andrew Jackson, Sarah and James K Polk, Sam Houston and others. Published by the Rutledge Co in Gadsden Alabama in 1980. This is limited edition of 1,000 copies, this one being 160.  Personal inscriptions from both authors.
