1861 Confederate Note-Bank of Tennessee-Fifty Cents
Item #: NEW-0011421

This bank note has some wear to it primarily along the edges.  I also count around eight pin holes when held up to the light.  Small tear in the right border and some in the bottom edge just past the 50.  Part of that area has flaked off.  General roughness on the bottom edge under the 50 on the right hand side.  Light stains in spots.  The bill is not crumpled however and it actually presents pretty well.

Crisp note with scattered pin holes, visible when held up to the light. There is also a scuffed area not visible to the eye but light can be seen through it when held up to light. It is just under the Three on the left edge. On the back scan it appears as a dark area on the right hand side. Number 86 on this Confederate note. Central of Georgia Railway-Bond-1895
Item #: NEW-007629

Large Mortgage Gold Bond which has been canceled. Measures 14 and a half by ten and a half inches. Bound to the certificate is two rows of coupons which actually are on top of the certificate. The only condition problem is a small strip of thin tape covering front and back in the middle of two coupons. Tape appears to be old archival tape, not scotch tape. This railroad started as the Central Rail Road and Canal Company in 1833. The railroad changed its name to Central Rail Road and Banking Company of Georgia. This railroad was constructed to join the Macon and Western Railroad at Macon, Georgia and run to Savannah, Georgia. This created a rail link from Chattanooga on the Tennessee River to seaports on the Atlantic Ocean. It took from 1837 to 1843 to finish this railroad all the way to Macon and until 1851 to get a bridge built across the Ocmulgee River.[1] Over the years, this railroad steadily acquired other railroads by either lease or purchase. The company experienced financial troubles in 1888 when the Richmond Terminal Company gained control of the railroad. The financial problems of the parent company forced this railroad into bankruptcy and it was sold at foreclosure three years later. It was reorganized as Central of Georgia Railway on November 1, 1895. This bond originated at this time.

Georgia Confederate Bond-500 Dollars
Item #: NEW-007147

This nice bond with six rows of coupons intact was signed by the Governor, Joseph E Brown. The acidity of the ink has cut through through the little curl at the end of his signature. Some folds. I chopped the edges a little in the photo but they are intact. Someone has written in pencil on the back "worthless" but someone had sense enough to preserve this scarce bond. 1862 in the date.
